Opsealog is entering a new phase of growth. The Marseille company, which specialises in exploiting vessel data, has announced the backing of Go Capital and the Sud Mer Invest fund, according to a company press release.

The deal illustrates Go Capital's strategy in the south of France. Founded in 2003 in Rennes under the name Grand Ouest Gestion, the venture capital firm has opened an office in Marseille, its first location in the region. Clémentine Pécastaing is investment director there, in charge of the maritime sector.

Go Capital's funds include Impact Océan Capital, launched in January 2023 with more than €30m and a target of around €70m, with the Banque des Territoires and Ademe, the French environment and energy management agency, among its subscribers. In 2024 the fund invested in Genevos, a start-up making hydrogen fuel cells for the marine sector, and took part in the Series A round of Marseille company BuyCo. In February 2025 Go Capital also led the €2m fundraising of Bioceanor, a bluetech company based in Sophia Antipolis.

The asset manager changed hands in June 2025: Paris-based group Magellim became its majority shareholder and made it its private equity arm.
