Nice Carnival and Menton Lemon Festival 2027: the dates to note now
“Vive l’Amour” will be the theme of the Nice Carnival, from 9 to 28 February. In Menton, the 93rd Lemon Festival runs from 13 to 28 February.
The 2027 Nice Carnival will be themed “Vive l’Amour”. The city unveiled it at the close of the 2026 edition, “Vive la Reine”, which drew 420,000 participants. The festivities run from 9 to 28 February, with a Queen now on an equal footing with the King.
The illuminated opening parade is scheduled for Saturday 13 February at 9pm. The flower battles follow on 17, 20, 24 and 27 February, the first starting on Wednesday 17 at 2.30pm. Prices and ticket sales have not yet been detailed.
A few kilometres away, Menton is preparing its 93rd Lemon Festival, from 13 to 28 February. The golden fruit parades will take place on Sundays 14, 21 and 28 February, weather permitting, and an exhibition of citrus sculptures will accompany the event. The regional tourism calendar lists it under the title “Douce France”, but the organisers have not yet officially detailed the theme.
Last year, the 92nd edition, devoted to the “Wonders of the Living World”, used 140 tonnes of citrus fruit. As the two festivals overlap, it is possible to combine Nice and Menton in the same weekend: book early.
