A new role for a rising figure in the French Riviera's business community. Pierre Ippolito has been elected president of Team Nice Côte d'Azur, the metropolitan agency responsible for promoting the area and attracting investment, Le Journal des Entreprises reported.

He now wears several hats. After chairing the UPE 06, the Alpes-Maritimes employers' federation, he became president of the CCI Nice Côte d'Azur, the local chamber of commerce and industry, in 2025, handing the UPE 06 presidency to Franck Cannata. Since January 2024 he has also sat on the executive council of Medef, the national employers' organisation.

He heads the Ippolito group, a family business founded in 1968 in Villeneuve-Loubet by his grandfather. Starting out in road haulage, the group has diversified as far as real estate. It is now a mid-sized company with more than 1,240 staff and revenue of nearly €300m across six business divisions, according to Le Journal des Entreprises.

A graduate of SKEMA Business School and a former student at Université Côte d'Azur, Pierre Ippolito thus adds the economic promotion of the Métropole to his responsibilities in employer and chamber of commerce bodies.
