Another change of leadership at La Méridionale. Charles-Henry de Lignac takes over today, 1 September, as chief executive of the Marseille-based shipping company, a subsidiary of the CMA CGM group, replacing Étienne Melliani, the trade website TourMaG reports.

Étienne Melliani will have held the post for only eight months. La Méridionale recruited him in January, when he was running the French operations of the Danish shipping company DFDS, according to the industry website Shippax. His departure from the company does not mean he is leaving CMA CGM, TourMaG adds; his new role within the group has not been made public.

Based in Marseille, La Méridionale operates passenger and freight services to Corsica and Morocco, within the CMA CGM group.
